Screening Tools

We have included the different means of breast screening with their accuracy and scope of usage so you can make educated choices. The California Preventative Medicine Foundation has chosen to champion Thermography as a screening tool because of its superior accuracy rate as well as two other important factors:

1. It doesn't compress and radiate delicate breast tissue like mammograms, and

2. Because it indicates signs of atypical and abnormal breasts early enough to make diet and lifestyle changes necessary to prevent disease.

While we feel there is a place for Mammography, it is not recommended for women with dense breasts, augmented breasts, younger women, during pregnancy and those with sensitivity to radiation. In each of these cases Thermography is an excellent choice.
